Amanda Woodard is a queer writer and activist. She lives in the Dallas Metroplex with her very anxious emotional support dog, Sirius, and her little cat, Young Bernie Sanders.
I have thoughts about the things I read, watch and listen to, and now, you can read those thoughts here, you lucky dog.
These are poems and other creative works I’ve written and published.
These are personal essays or narrative nonfiction pieces I’ve had published or have performed in the past.
“Amanda is truly a talented writer and team member. She exhibits strength in not only creativity in her writing, but in executing her exact thoughts in a way that makes people listen.”
— Sierra Uselton
“When I asked Amanda whether she would be up to the task ofwriting high quality, long form content for us, she said it would belike a walk in the park. I was very skeptical. The next day I had anarticle that exceeded all my expectations. Since then she’salways delivered, I can’t recommend her highly enough!”

“Amanda is very passionate about her job and everything she does. I aspire to be as passionate and innovative as her. She is always pitching ideas to make the ACT website the best that it can be and her patience and readiness to lend a helping hand motivated me to do the best job I can, especially in regards to the tasks she assigned me.”
— Meraal Hakeem
“A terrific writer/editor with infinite SEO knowledge, her solid background in internet marketing helped direct the copy team toward higher and more ambitious goals. She is an exceptional coordinator, communicator and, most of all, motivator who truly leads by example. Her confounding positivity and good humor (on a daily basis) are traits that simply can’t be taught – and rarely exhibited so consistently by people in management positions.”
— Bradley Steele Harding
